Dos Ceibas
Reframing a Tulum hospitality experience through identity and digital expression.
In Tulum every hotel claims nature. Almost none of them are actually built that way.

The digital expression
Rooms, activities, reservations — in that order.
The site was structured around how someone actually decides on a stay: what the place is, what you would do there, and only then how to book it.

The mark, installed

The Challenge
Dos Ceibas is an eco-retreat on a private stretch of Tulum beach — a genuinely sustainable operation with a temazcal, yoga and sound healing, run that way long before it was fashionable to say so.
The brief the brand had to answer was unusually precise: communicate what Dos Ceibas actually is, to the staff as much as to the guests. A hospitality brand that the people delivering it cannot articulate is a brand that stops at the front desk.
The Ambition
One coherent expression of the place across identity and digital — delivered as an operating language the property itself could run: the mark, the graphics, and the words and applications the staff work from every day.
The Response
Insight. In Tulum, ecological language is table stakes — everyone claims it. The difference here was that the operation genuinely ran that way, so the brand did not need to argue the point. It needed to look like somewhere that had been doing this all along.
Idea. The two ceibas themselves: the tree the Maya held sacred, drawn as a fine-line mark that could be embroidered, embossed, carved or animated without losing itself.
System. Identity and auxiliary graphics, then applications delivered in phases — stationery, menus, signage, uniforms — and the architecture and design of the website, from rooms and activities through to reservations.
The Impact
Delivered across six phases of applications and a complete digital expression. The mark now appears on everything from a menu to a beach sign to the site, which is the actual test of a hospitality identity.
A brand the staff can explain is a brand the guest experiences.
