Explaining it

A loan against your car, explained without a paragraph.

The hardest part of this category is not persuasion, it is comprehension — people decline what they do not understand. So the process was animated rather than described: what you need, what happens, how long it takes, and the fact that you keep driving throughout.

The Challenge

A loan against your car is one of the few financial products people reach for at their worst moment — an emergency, a repair, a payroll gap. In Mexico the category answered that moment badly. Every competitor advertised pre-approval in about thirty minutes, and every one of them still required you to come into an office. The category looked the part, too: design closer to a pawnshop than to a financial institution.

ZLYDE had built something genuinely different — a process that runs entirely online, with the customer keeping the car. But a category that looks untrustworthy makes an honest offer harder to believe, not easier. The difference had to become legible before it could become persuasive.

The Ambition

Not a redesign. A brand that reads as a financial institution rather than a last resort, and a path from first interest to real conversation that people actually complete.

The Response

Insight

In this category the product is not the money — everyone has money. The product is the process. What ZLYDE could own was the part competitors made you endure: the office visit, the paperwork, the handing over of your keys.

Idea

Professionally human. A voice with the authority of someone who knows finance and the patience of someone explaining it at your kitchen table — precise, plain, no hyperbole, no long explanations. Built on three pillars: ingenious, empathetic, transparent. In a category that survives on fine print, transparency is not a value statement but a differentiator.

System

A Brand DNA setting the value proposition, personality, tone and key message, then applied consistently across every touchpoint — the website and the social channels had drifted into looking like two different companies. From there the work moved into the digital experience, the communication system, and the acquisition strategy behind it.

The Impact

The engagement has run continuously since 2023, from brand foundations through identity, digital experience, communications and performance — the kind of scope a client extends rather than renews.

In 2025 the acquisition objective changed shape: away from traffic as the measure and toward conversations, on the reasoning that a category built on trust converts in dialogue, not in clicks. The product now in market leads with the promise at the centre of the brand — financing against your car, without giving up the car.
